We’re thrilled to announce we’re holding a Macmillan Cancer Support Coffee Morning. The event starts at 9:30am on 30th September 2016. You’re invited so drop in for a coffee, a slice of cake and a little natter. All safe in the knowledge that you’re helping to change lives. I think you will all agree that cake and coffee tastes better together.
Best Baker Competition
On the day, we will be holding a Best Baker Competition. Our aim is to identify the best baker of the most delicious cake baked that day. The lucky winner will be presented with £25.00 gift voucher to use as they wish at the salon. We will also be holding a raffle with various other treatments as prizes. Of course, all proceeds go to the Macmillan Cancer Support Coffee Morning Charity.
This is the tastiest event of the year, with all your favourite cakes on offer. Tuck into your favourites such as lemon drizzle, rocky road and Victoria sponge cake. Wash them down with a lovely hot brew knowing that you are impacting positively on peoples lives. They say everyone knows someone who is living with cancer so this is your chance to do something positive to help them.
Changing Lives with Every Slice
Raising money for such a worthwhile cause is made all the more sweeter when cake is on the menu. Every cake sold helps Macmillan nurses give the necessary medical, practical and emotional support to those living with cancer. Your support will ensure that the Macmillan nurses can offer more time, attention and specialist care.
Your donations ensure Macmillan nurses have more time to :
Medical help: Specialist Chemotherapy nurses can offer and deliver vital treatment to cancer patients.
Practical help: Nurses can ensure those living with cancer get the support and equipment they require at home to continue living independent lives.
Emotional help: Allow nurses to talk with just one extra husband or wife to help the come to terms with what their loved one is having to cope with.
