Waiting for a sign – New signage

So last week marked the end of an era! The old signage for the salon came down and the new signage went up. We’re no longer known as ‘Be Beautiful’ but instead, as part of the ‘Diamond Beauty Clinics’ group, our salon is now called ‘Diamonds of Hutton’.

Whilst we understand that some loyal customers would have preferred us to retain the old name, from a business perspective, it just wasn’t viable to keep it. Since the business changed hands over 4 months ago, the clash of names was causing us and our customers nothing but confusion. With the previous owner still owning another ‘Be Beautiful salon in the Preston area, some of our customers were turning at her salon for their appointments and vice versa. A change of name seemed to be the best solution to enable us to segregate ourselves from the ‘Be Beautiful’ brand.

Now, rather than just change the name and be done with it, we decided involve our customers. We wanted your input into the BIG name change for the salon. So, we launched a competition asking our Facebook fans for their suggestions on a suitable new name for the salon. With a FREE treatment package up for grabs, we found ourselves absolutely inundated with suggestions.

After much deliberation, we eventually decided on a suggestion that came from Anne-Louise Garner. She suggested ‘Diamonds of Hutton’. There were two things we particularly liked about her suggestion…

  1. We already had a sub-brand known as Diamond Lipo that specialises in body scultpting treatments.
  2. The idea of bringing the quaint name of the village into the salons name just seemed like a lovely respectful thing to do seeing as we were new to the village.

So as of now, we are now officially known as ‘Diamonds of Hutton’. Check out our new signage going up to mark the official name change below…

We couldn’t have done the signage without you!

So we obviously wish to thank Anne-Louise Garner for suggesting the name in the first place. Hopefully, we have done your suggestion proud with the new new signage design.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank Jo Briggs for the art and design direction. She has also been responsible design of our stunning new brochure which is now downloadable from our website. You can also grab one on your next visit to the salon for details of all our treatments and prices.

We would also like to extend our thanks to Poppy Signs. They did a sterling job of translating the design into actual signage. They also made light work of erecting our new signage outside the salon. Well done boys!

So, we hope you like the new brand identity for the salon. We think it offers a touch of elegance to the salon and with any luck, you do too. Our next planned acquisition and addition to the ‘Diamond Beauty Clinics’ Group is a laser clinic located on good old Baker Street in Central London. Watch this space!
